That's What I Love About Sunday...

You all know that song right??? Ok so I have to admit, Sunday is NOT my favorite day of the week. I listen to that song and think "Where the crap does he live? Cause Sundays suck at our house!" My kids have a set routine during the week and MOST days our house runs like clockwork before school. They get up with little to no problem, get dressed, get their hair done, eat, get backpacks ready to go and have about an hour to spare. On Sunday.....not so much!!! I swear it's as if they forget how to function on Sundays.
I posted something on Facebook the other day about my frustration regarding this. Well, today I picked Shelby up from school and the first thing out of her mouth was "What did you put on Facebook yesterday?" She said her teacher had seen my post (not sure how since we aren't FB friends, but whatever)  and wanted her to write about it for her essay this week. The essay assignments was "The Ultimate Fight Between Brothers and Sisters".  I read to her what I'd posted and she laughed and said, "Oh well that's not so bad". When I read some of the comments made by some of her friends parents, she was happy to know that it's not just our house! HA! I was too!
Anywhoooo, she brought me her essay and asked me to type it for her at work.... I thought it was funny so I figured I'd step up the embarrassment level and post it on the blog! HAHAHA! (I hope she forgets this by the time she's picking out my nursing home!)

"Yesterday we were getting ready for church and then I walked into my sisters room and took her bracelet, but she freaked out and started tackling me. So, then I pushed her. Then my brother came in and started tackling me, then I got up and they ran into my sisters room. I waited a minute to get my revenge on them. I knocked on her door and got a spray bottle full of ice cold water and got a bouncy ball that looked like a tomato. She opened the door with a bottle of lotion and started squirting me. Her and my brother thought the tomato bouncy ball was real so they stopped squirting lotion at me. I started spraying them with water. My brother took my spray bottle and started spraying me. I had already straightened my hair. When my hair got wet it started curling because of my perm. Then I went and told mom who was planning her church lesson and she got mad and had to redo my hair so she got really mad at my brother and sister. So they had to go sit in their rooms until we went to church and all I could do is laugh at them. Then I got in trouble for laughing at them. "

Yep... typical Sunday!!!!

Okay, THAT is hysterical. I wonder how many homes around America have the SAME thing happen on Sunday mornings?
