Ok, so it's my first time on blogger. Seems like everyone I know has a blog and I was feeling a little bit left out. Yes, I admit it, I'm a total "follower" but, hey, that's ok.
This past week in the Haycock family has been a little crazy. Monday, Morgan had a field trip. Tuesday, Shelby had a field trip. Wednesday was early release. Then, school was out for UEA on Thursday and Friday. Why go to school in October?
This next week should be fun. Monday there is no school (Deer Day) and Shelby has 2 field trips during the week. I'm going with her on Wednesday. I'm actually pretty excited about that one. It's only to the Pumpkin Patch, but it will be fun to go with her. My mom always had to work when I was in school, so she was never able to do stuff like that with me. It's one of the things I swore I was going to do when I had kids.
Chris got us a "new" car. It's actually a boat on wheels. He did some side work for a guy that he went to school with, and he had this car that he was going to get rid of. He gave it to Chris and then called him later and said that his dad had another car that had the same motor (in perfect condition)and he would give that to him too. Chris spent all day yesterday swapping parts. It runs great (of course) and it's actually in a lot better condition than my car. I already desperately miss my Fusion. That's ok though, once we get everything done with our house, I'll get a cute car again.
It's so nice to have a husband that can do stuff like this. He was so proud of it yesterday. It's not a bad car. The interior is really nice and the body is in great shape. Troy just didn't want to put an engine in it. Yesterday, one of the salesmen came down to the shop and was telling Chris that he knows lots of people that have that car and love it. I asked Chris if he went to high school with them. (He's in his 60's) Chris just gave me a dirty look, (but I could tell he wanted to laugh) and reminded me that "One man's trash is another man's treasure."

I just started doing this too Jana...Haven't even posted my first blog yet. You know I would love to keep in touch with you more. Just so you know I thought about you all of the time and hoped you were doing well.
Yay! I'm glad you have a blog now! I can't wait to see pictures of your new "boat". That's hilarious, but it is so nice that Chris is able to do stuff like that (Justin would probably kill himself in the attempt).
We all love her very much to Jana and wish you could get your but to Ohio so we could see you and meet the kids. You wouldn't even have to stay at a motel/hotel I have a completley empty bedroom waiting for some guests...And your kids could bunk with mine!!!
