BIg Night!

Today was our school science fair. Shelby did her project on Electromagnets. Unfortunately she didn't get anything, but that's ok. She learned a lot and had fun with her Daddy!

Morgan did her project on Repetition. She found a maze and timed 5 men and 5 women as they did the maze 3 different times. Then she and Chris made a replica of the maze and she put 3 different mice through the maze. The point was to see 1)if we learn things by repeating them over and over 2)if boys or girls learn faster and 3)if humans learn faster than animals! SHE GOT 1ST PLACE FOR HER GRADE!!!! YAAAAY MOGO!!

A couple months ago, the PTA wrote a grant to Disneyland and we got them to DONATE 4 1 day Park Hopper passes to Disneyland! Tonight we did a drawing as a fundraiser and WE WON!!!!!! NO! FREAKING! JOKE! I NEVER win anything!!! (Yes it was awkward being the PTA President and winning the Grand Prize. Not awkward enough to turn the prize down, but still awkward!... but hey, I bought tickets just like everyone else and I'm a parent too, right?)

Also tonight, Shelby had her softball tryouts. She hit 2/5 balls and caught 4/5 grounders. She just got a call saying that she'd been drafted by the MAGGIE MOO'S! She's so excited cause its, of course, the coolest team in town! Their uniforms are HOT PINK and black (oh sooo right up Shelby's alley HA!) and rumor has it that they get free ice cream at Maggie Moos when they win.
 

All in all it was a good day for the Haycocks!
***EDIT*** I was talking to my coworker and apparently I won a $30 itunes card at our staff meeting too!!!
