Feeble Attempt at Craftiness

You guys all know that I'm all about Shabby Chic. Why? Cause it doesn't have to be perfect.  It makes crafts doable for people like me. Tonight I was chatting with Charon and I promised her I'd blog about the new Shabby Chic hair bows the girls and I were making. We made a couple different kinds. Here's the 1st.:
You start with some Nylon material. Cut some simple circles in different sizes. The circles don't have to be perfect by any means.

Glue them together and then glue a barrette or hair clip onto the back
Fold the bigger layers back and hold them over heat. I used the gas stove but you can also use a lighter. As the Nylon begins to melt, it curls up. When the first layer is done, heat the 2nd and so on.
When it's curled to your satisfaction add a little button and Whaaalaaa! You have a cute little flower clip!
The 2nd are the easiest little things EVER!!!
Start with a strip of material.
Then cut a circle out of felt. Glue the end of the material to the center of the felt. Twist the strip of material around, gluing it to the felt as you go.

Twist the fabric until the circle is as big as you want it. If the felt is too big, just trim it.

Glue a button or other embellishment to the center. And then glue a clip to the back. We've also got some that are glued to simple plastic head bands.
I glued 2 rosettes together for this one.
This one is the same concept just wrapped looser.
The girls and I have had fun doing these and it's given me something to do at work for the night.
