Last year, I tried to get her to try softball but she was VERY hesitant so I took her to the batting cages thinking this would change her mind.... yea.. let's just say that ended with a trip to the orthopedic with what we ALL thought was a broken finger. (Even the Dr. was shocked when it wasn't broken!) So of course as far as she was concerned, she was DONE with softball FOREVER! Today I basically told her that she doesn't have a choice whether to play softball or not this year. Yea yea, I know... I shouldn't do that but I really want to teach her to try new things and to understand that she's not going to be the best at everything her first try. I also want her to learn that even if she SUCKS at something, she can still enjoy it and have fun. Our deal is that if she doesn't like it then she doesn't ever have to play again! So today, I bought her a glove and softball and took her to the park to play catch.... she was not happy... AT FIRST!!.... It took about 3 tosses for her to fall in love!! She was laughing and squealing and having the best time! She DEFINITELY needs to work on catching but she's got one heck of an arm on her!!! I was impressed!

I checked on her after she went to bed and she was sleeping with her new glove... How cute is she?? Love her to pieces!

Nolan had tryouts on Tuesday...he had to go into the "draft" this year (rolling my eyes). And. IN case you were wondering. I'm DREADING baseball season. Love you!
